Hanlor is the ultimate shopping resource for thousands of users.

We have several advertising options on the site:

Banners

We serve banners on every page of Hanlor. In the header there is a rotating 480 x 60 horizontal banner and in the right hand sidebar we either serve a 120 x 600 vertical skyscraper or 120 x 60 square graphics, usually targeted to the category of which that page is located.

Homepage banners are reserved for new merchants who have recently launched an affiliate program or are dedicated exclusively to advertisers offering incentives for homepage promotion, both for at least 7 days.

The banners are usually on rotation serving between 1 and 10 advertisers across the site, with selected advertisers on targeted pages. For example, our DVD price comparison section has ads targeted for consumers of DVDs, movie downloads or visual electronics.

Our banners are of advertisers who have affiliate programs. We do not offer CPM or CPC advertising at the moment. If you have an affiliate program and want your banner published on Hanlor, please feel free to contact us.

Price Comparison

Hanlor offers a price comparison service by comparing datafeeds of selected merchants. It allows users to find the cheapest option for their desired product as well as the ability to write or read reviews for that product.

We only display product feeds for price comparison from merchants on affiliate networks with quality datafeeds (and preferably an 88 x 31 image). Please note merchants that are included in price comparison are automatically included in our directory and discount code section, even if they do not have discount codes in which case we explicitly state there are no codes available.

If you have an affiliate program with a datafeed and would like to be included in one of the categories in our shopping section, or would like to suggest a new category based on your products, please contact us.

Shopping Directory

Our shopping directory is a continually expanding database of online e-tailers. Each e-tailers has a page with an extensive review both by ourselves and by customers including a five star rating, product review, usability review, security review, accesibility review and so on although each will vary depending on the level of experience we have had with the site, which is explained here. Inclusion in our shop directory is free and does not require you to be part of an affiliate network. If you wish to be included in our shopping directory, you must a) be a UK e-tailer selling products in pounds sterling (£); b) have a secure shopping cart and c) have a wide or quality range of products. Please contact us with your details to be included.

Discount Codes

We offer discount codes to help consumers get a great deal on their purchases. For a fuller explanation of why discount codes and the publication of them are good for your business, click here. We are completely ethical with our publication of discount codes - you can read our promise here.

If you are on an affiliate network, please contact us with details of your codes if we haven't already included them. If you do not have an affiliate program but want your codes published, you may submit them for free but please note that due to the amount of work involved in this site on a daily basis, we cannot guarantee they will always be published.

We appreciate and give more exposure to exclusive discount codes. If you would like to create a special discount code for us, we prefer it to include the word 'HANLOR'.

Please note that we only include discount vouchers in this section. We are happy to publish special offers such as BOGOFs, sales or price reductions in our shopping blog or price comparison section. Again, contact us with your details but we cannot guarantee inclusion. Definition of discount vouchers is at our discretion and non-discount codes may not be published if you do not have an affiliate program.

Shopping Blog

Our blog is the most content rich section of our site with reviews and recommendations served daily, particularly our Product of the Day which is a daily product review or recommendation. We actively encourage you to contact us with products you feel qualify for Product of the Day or our other sections such as Strange Shopping (a guide to the quirkiest products available) or our gift guides.

If you have an affiliate program, please contact us with details of your offers, preferably with image, short description and deeplink. If you do not have an affiliate program, we may not publish your offers but we may offer paid inclusion in the future.

Freebies/Competitions

We recommend competitions and free gifts to our users. If you have a competition or a free gift available at your site, we will happily publish it. Please contact us with as many details of the offer as possible and whether you have an affiliate program or not (this is not mandatory for inclusion).

E-mail Newsletter

We have started to offer our users the opportunity to sign up for a weekly newsletter which includes new discount codes, competitions and reviews. At the moment we do not offer advertising in our newsletters but if you are featured on the site you may well be featured within the e-mail. We have a privacy policy that details what users can expect from the newsletter and how their e-mail addresses will be used.
